Total win.
Hats off to this teacher. Instead of complaining about bullying in the classroom, she's FIXING it. A special friend of mine is also a teacher and I don't think she realizes that she just naturally does this sort of thing as well. How do I know she does, even though I have never sat through her class? Because she wouldn't be the person I know she is if she didn't.
Yes, yes, yes!!!'
ReplyDeleteThe Boston Globe had an article about this subject, a twin who was born male, but identified as female. There is a Dept. in children's Hospital in Boston that deals with gender issues and later in life can assist these kids to gender change if that is what they desire.
A fascinating subject. My youngest son is very "feminine"...he loves to dance, loves to color. He also likes to scooter, and play tag...
He does identify with being a boy (and loves his penis, lol)...but this is an issue we work with to some extent in our lives. How WONDERFUL that a public school teacher is making an impact.
Thanks for posting this!
